Ten more candidates have registered to stand in the 2020 Election, including one current deputy and plenty of new faces.
Among them is Barry Brehaut, who had previously said he would never run under island-wide voting. In a tweet, he said that it would be "extremely difficult" to reach out to 16,000 homes, but that it was a challenge that "on reflection I want to take on."

Mark Fletcher of Fletcher's Freesias and Rob Harnish, who stood in 2016, are among those to have thrown their hat into the ring.
All 21 of the Guernsey Partnership of Independents' currently announced members are now officially in the running, after Andre Quevatre was officially proposed and seconded.
Fergus Dunlop, one of the organisers of the campaign against Island-Wide Voting, has also announced his candidacy. The total number of candidates has risen to 87 on the penultimate day of nominations, which close at 16:00 on Friday.
