No changes to Easter bin nights

Friday 29 March 2024

Waste and recycling collections will run as normal over the Easter weekend with no changes to the schedules.

With a bank holiday either side of the weekend, the bin lorries will be doing their rounds as usual.

There will be changes as the island's waste sites though with the Household Waste and Recycling Centre (HWRC) at Longue Hougue and the Chouet Green Waste site both closed on Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday.

Those two sites will be open as normal on Saturday and Sunday.

Thursday night black bag and recycling collections will go ahead as normal, despite coinciding with Good Friday the following day while households in St Peter Port and St Sampson's who normally set out waste and recycling on a Sunday night will also have their normal collection this weekend, even though it coincides with Easter Monday.

Anyone who needs to check which materials to put out on which night can do so HERE.
