New life for old New Look stock

Monday 30 January 2023

New Look and Les Bourgs Hospice Charity Shop have teamed up to help reduce the amount of clothing which ends up being destined for landfill.

A partnership between the business and the charity will see the clothes shop donated any stock which is "unsellable" to the hospice shop.

"Les Bourgs Hospice Charity Shop are delighted to have been chosen to partner New Look Guernsey as part of their #ThatNewLookFeeling campaign.

"As New Look Guernsey try to reduce costs and landfill waste they have pledged to donate any stock items that are unsellable in their store, to our charity shop.

"Thank You New Look Guernsey!"

Unsellable stock may include items from previous seasons, damaged or faulty stock or sale items.

The stock will be shared with Les Bourgs Hospice Shop on an adhoc basis and will be sold through dedicated New Look rails in the main shop at Les Huriaux for adults, and the children's shop which is located across the carpark.

The hospice shop is open daily Tuesday to Saturday between 09:00 and 16:30. Donations are accepted on a Monday and Thursday between 09:00- and 16:00.

New Look is in the Market Buildings and is open daily Monday to Saturday each week.

New Look's UK stores are partnered with Hospice UK.

The stores donate unsellable stock to charity shops supporting the more than 200 hospices across the country which offer services similar to that of Les Bourgs Hospice in Guernsey.

The agreement is intended to reduce waste as well as encourage sustainability and support those who want to buy new clothing at affordable prices.
