Auditions for the first ever Guernsey Street Festival are attracting a vast array of talent.

The Guernsey Street Festival Committee is encouraging video auditions for larger groups and although slots are filling up, there are still opportunities to be had.

The Festival will run for two weeks in St Peter Port from 24 July to 7 August to celebrate all forms of street performance including music, theatre, dance, food and arts.

Event Founder Claire Dawson said the aim of the festival is to champion local talent, celebrate visiting entertainers and provide a platform for performers of all types and ages.

“Introducing auditions means there is a level playing field for all participants whether well-known or not to be a part of the festival," she said.

"It is more important than ever to celebrate local talent and we have been thrilled to see so much unique talent come forward from all ages. We are excited to bring such eclectic entertainment to the streets of St Peter Port.”
