More electric charging points on the way

Friday 25 October 2019

There'll soon be some electric charging points for public use at the Odeon Car Park.

The Committee for the Environment and Infrastructure has applied for planning permission to install electric vehicle charging stations, while also resurfacing the 'existing area' and putting up some new signs.

Previous planning applications to put electric charging stations in town and at the Bridge have been successful so it is expected the ones for the Odeon will be approved too.

The creation of electric vehicle charging stations comes under the Integrated Transport Strategy, which was approved by the 2012-12 States.
