Last week, Guernsey Police said officers are continuing to follow a number of lines of enquiry following separate incidents of burglaries, attempted break ins and criminal damage which have affected the island so far this year.
While most of the incidents are being treated as isolated cases, some have been linked and are being investigated alongside other reported situations.
The reported incidents include two attempted break-ins at Woodies kiosk at Bordeaux and a Portacabin at the Corbet Field on Grand Fort Road during the weekend before last. Guernsey Police said at the time those two incidents are not being linked.
Following previous attempted break-ins, burglaries and criminal damage in the island during May, four juveniles were arrested and released on bail pending further enquiries into those cases. Two of the four arrested were held in connection with a number of incidents of criminal damage which took place in the early hours of Saturday 5 May in the north of the island, and two in connection with the spate of damage in the St Peter Port area which took place overnight on Saturday 12 May. Guernsey Police have not said anything further about these cases at this time.
Three further burglaries, which took place in the early hours of Thursday 24 and Friday 25 May at Oatlands, Cobo Tea Rooms and the Rockmount are being treated as linked. As yet no one has been arrested or charged.
Last week saw a number of incidents of vandalism and graffiti in the areas around Victoria Avenue, with Guernsey Police confirming the arrest of three people in connection with that.
All enquiries are ongoing.
