A fault with the online fixed penalty payment system - which allows people to pay parking tickets - took almost five weeks to fix, having first failed in February.
It was back up and running earlier this week, on Tuesday 28 March.
A spokesperson for the States confirmed the system is back up and running, meaning anyone needing to pay a parking fine or other fixed penalty notice can now do so online at gov.gg again.
The repair work relied on a third-party contractor which meant it took longer than anticipated to be fixed.

"There has been a fault with the online payment system for Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN) and this was communicated to the public through the Guernsey Police’s social media channels on the 23 February 2023," the spokesperson confirmed.
"We were reliant on a third party supplier to repair the software on which the FPN payment systems relies. This caused a longer than anticipated delay in fixing the issue and further serves to highlight the importance of the State’s IT transformation programme, which includes replacing ageing IT infrastructure.
"...the fault has been fixed and customers are now able to pay tickets online through gov.gg/payit."

The States spokesperson said the online payment fault highlights the need for all IT systems within government services to be replaced as they age and lose their suitability for purpose.
Now the fault has been fixed, parking fines and other fixed penalty notices can be paid online. A ticket will usually be recognised by the system from up to 24 hours after it was issued.
Other States services can also be paid online through the gov.gg/payit facility.
