The wait is over for hundreds of local students who will open their A-Level results today.
Although many will be relying on the results written on the page to determine their future education or employment paths, Careers Guernsey is telling students not to panic if all does not go to plan.
Careers Advisers will be on hand throughout the coming months, offering support for school and college leavers with their next options and steps.
"Exam results time is such a mix of emotions for students and so it is helpful to talk through all of their options with a qualified Careers Adviser before making any decision, particularly if they are worried that their plans may have to change," said Head of Careers, Sarah Stonebridge.
"A Careers Adviser can help provide reassurance and advice about new options or pathways which may not have been considered yet, to help them work towards their goal."

The Advisers will be available to talk about employment as well as further education and training. They have already been in contact with some leavers as part of the ongoing support.
"It is encouraging to find many school or college leavers in employment or training already and a high percentage who have applied to continue in education," Ms Stonebridge added. "This helps us focus our support on those young people who still need help with sorting out their next step."

Any students who need some help help with their plans can get in touch with Careers Guernsey by calling 706565 or emailing careersguernsey@gov.gg. Leavers can also visit careers.gg to find out more about their options.
Parents and guardians are invited to get in touch with the service for information and advice as they support their child with decisions.
Last year, A-level students at the Grammar School got a 98.3% pass rate, while 100% of Ladies College sixth formers passed their exams and 84% of those at Elizabeth College got A*-C.
