The Saffery Rotary Walk is Guernsey’s only around-the-island walk, and walkers have until the end of January to take advantage of lower sign-up fees.
Taking place on Saturday 9 June 2018, the walk starts and finishes at the Weighbridge, St Peter Port, with walkers going clockwise around the island's coast covering 39 miles of cliff paths and coastal terrain.
Those who register before 31 January will pay just £20, after which time the registration fee will increase to £25. Relay teams can also register, with teams consisting of a maximum of seven walkers who wish to take on a section of the walk each. Those teams can benefit from an early bird price of £100, which will increase to £140 from the beginning of February.

Chair of the walk’s organising committee, Simon Milsted, said: “The walk is one of the island’s leading charitable events so we are constantly striving to keep the walk fresh with new ideas and looking for ways to improve year-on-year. January is the perfect time to set goals for the year and with a reduced entry fee it’s a great opportunity to sign up to the challenge and support lots of local charities”.
20 local charities have been chosen to receive funding from money raised by walkers for this year’s walk and you can read about them here.
Registration is available through the Saffery Rotary Walk website via the online sign-up and fundraising platform Race Nation which also enables people to donate through a secure online server.
