Islanders asked for help in the search for Ernie

Tuesday 10 May 2022

The owner of a French bulldog is asking islanders to keep an eye out for her dog, after Ernie went missing more than three days ago.

Hannah Boyle was sunbathing in the garden on 7 May when Ernie disappeared. He was spotted briefly by her neighbours but hasn’t been seen since.

“There hasn’t really been an update since Saturday,” she said. “He has social anxiety and never leaves my side; I don’t know where he is.”

Hannah said her family and friends have been spending 12-hour days searching for Ernie.

Ernie went missing from Abbey Court Hotel and anyone with CCTV in the area is asked to come forward.

“Please continue to check any outbuildings in the town area,” said Hannah. “We desperately need to find him if he is trapped. If seen, please do not try and approach - he is a friendly dog but will be frightened and may bolt.”

If you think you’ve seen Ernie please call Hannah on 07839 134314.
