Investigation continues into naked man in bushes

Monday 29 July 2024

No further sightings of a naked male in the bushes at Saumarez Park have been reported since Bailiwick Law Enforcement made an appeal for information earlier this month.

Police say several people have come forward with useful information since an appeal was published which has led to “potential persons of interests” being identified.

Enquiries are ongoing and high and low visibility patrols have been regularly carried out in the area.

A plea was made on 17 July after multiple people reported seeing a young male naked from the waist down hiding in the bushes near the rear car park along Ruette Saumarez.

He was described as a white male, no older than 20, around six feet tall and of muscular build, who was wearing a grey or navy hoodie.

Anyone else with information is still encouraged to get in touch with PC 37 Wright on 01481 222 222 while the investigation continues.
