Members of the public have a chance to represent the wider community and help influence decisions that are made by Health & Social Care through vacancies on the CareWatch panel.
HSC is encouraging applications from people interested in joining the independent panel.
Since its formation in 2017, CareWatch Chairman Dr Roger Allsopp said the group has represented the views of the community on the development of a range of health and social care initiatives.
“In its first three years, CareWatch has considered a wide range of subjects," he said. "From the costs of primary care to the priorities in modernising the hospital site, CareWatch has played an active role in key workstreams supporting the States’ Partnership of Purpose."

The panel meets monthly with senior HSC staff to discuss ongoing work, providing two-way communication between the committee and the community.
"It is an exciting time for health and care services in the Bailiwick given the ongoing transformation programme and it is important that CareWatch continues to provide an effective forum for discussion," said Dr Allsopp.
HSC wants to receive applications from individual members of the public and individuals representing relevant organisations. No previous experience is required, but applicants should be able to demonstrate an interest in health or social care matters.
Those interested should contact Nikejshia Moon on 725241 or email healthandsocialcare@gov.gg. For further information regarding CareWatch, click HERE. Applications close on 28 August 2020.
