Houses egged hours after spate of vandalism

Wednesday 06 March 2019

Houses on the Valnord Estate were targeted by another attack last weekend, just hours after vandals hit a family home in the area.

At around 21:00 on Sunday 3 March, someone or some people threw eggs at a number of houses on the estate, and also put several rocks in the road.

This was just a handful of hours after vandals went into the garden of a family home, smashed parts of the fence, snapped and bent a satellite dish, tore a plant out of the ground and knocked a number of bikes and furniture over. That whole incident took place between 15:30 on Saturday and 09:15 on Sunday.

Yesterday, Guernsey Police reported the damage at the one house as an isolated incident, but now officers are appealing for witnesses in case anyone saw the people involved in the anti-social behaviour on the Sunday evening. This encompasses both the egg throwing and the 'dangerous placing of rocks'.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 138 Peter Falla on 725111 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
