Guernsey youngster achieves first England call-up

Friday 19 March 2021

17-year-old Guernsey footballer Alex Scott's brilliant year has just got even better, after he was called up to the England Under-18 squad.

The former GFC midfielder has been included in a 24-strong squad to face Wales on Monday 29 March.

His call-up will see him train with youngsters from the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal at St George's Park.

Making his first appearance for The Three Lions in Cardiff would cap off a remarkable few months for the attacking midfielder, who put pen to paper on a long-term professional contract with Championship side Bristol City earlier this month.

Scott is also the Green Lions’ youngest ever player, having made his senior debut in August last year.
