Guernsey school syndicate wins Christmas Lottery

The Channel Islands Christmas Lottery was won by a teacher's syndicate at La Mare De Carteret High School.

The top prize this year was £696,740, which will be split between a syndicate of teachers and teaching staff at the school.

This year's Christmas Lottery saw increased participation compared to 2019.

Pictured: The winning number was 552971 in this year's draw.

All proceeds from the draw will help support worthy causes in the Bailiwick, and are distributed through the Social Investment Fund.

The winning syndicate has chosen to remain anonymous on an individual level, however they have released the following statement:

“The school syndicate representing a number of teaching and support staff at La Mare De Carteret High School are delighted to have won the top prize in the Channel Island Lottery. It was a wonderful Christmas surprise for all.”
