Opera on Screen Presents: TOSCA

A FREE screening of Puccini’s iconic Opera ‘Tosca’ will be taking place on the 24th July at Beau Séjour thanks to a partnership between the Opéra de Rennes-Angers, Guernsey Arts and the States of Guernsey!

KPMG Castle Nights

KPMG Castle Nights the annual series of FREE Entertainment for the whole family at Castle Cornet! Experience one of Guernsey’s most popular summer events.

The gates of Castle Cornet will be thrown open on four Friday evenings for KPMG Castle Nights featuring live music, singing and family fun.

Come and enjoy the free entertainment and soak up the atmosphere at one of Guernsey’s most historic sites, this Friday the 19th from 6pm!

Numbers within the Castle are controlled, please arrive early as queues do start early.

Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club: Centenary Exhibition, Workshops and Demonstrations!

Join the wonderful Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club in celebrating their Centenary Exhibition, at Blanchelande College from this Friday 19th July!

Open between 10am and 4.30pm daily, with a late night opening on Thursday 25th July until 7.30pm; this will be their biggest exhibition ever, featuring an additional opportunity to view the ‘One Brushstroke’ Paintings!

Also on offer are a great programme of demonstrations and workshops, running alongside the exhibition.

Guernsey Street Festival 2024

It's that time of the year again Guernsey!

This Saturday will mark the beginning of the 2024 Guernsey Street Festival!

From 20th July - 3rd August, witness St Peter Port come alive with musicians, dancers, actors, storytellers, stalls, fancy dress, and so much more.

From 9:30am on Saturday 20th, Join GSF at the Sunken Gardens for the opening procession, as they make their way through town to the Market Square where the festivities truly begin!

Be sure to keep an eye on the Guernsey Street Fest social media to find out everything that's in store over the coming weeks.

Additionally, GSF are back to Candie this Sunday between 3pm and 4pm, for another instalment of their Candie Garden Concerts! This week, they are delighted to welcome and present Forever Tenors. Free to attend and enjoy. 

Oddsocks presents: Julius Caesar

In the summer of 2024 Oddsocks is delighted to be touring a new production of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar!

A series of fabulous performances will be taking place at Saumarez Manor, from Tuesday the 23rd of July, until Friday 26th.

“Rome 44BC. Expect the tearing of togas, the swishing of roman swords, some preposterous puppetry and the biggest battle scene five actors have ever created. On your marcus, getus setus, let the games begin!”

THE HOME BEAUTIFUL: PRE-RAPHAELITE INTERIORS

Make your way down to Les Cotils next Wednesday the 24th of July to join the latest of the Arts Society Guernsey Lectures.

Starting at 7pm, this lecture will be brought to you by Joanna Banham; Head of Adult Learning at the V&A from 2006 - 2016.

Banham has also been Curator of Leighton House and Assistant Keeper at the Whitworth Art Gallery. She has published on many aspects of Victorian and early 20th century decoration and interiors.

Entrance is free to members; non-members will be admitted upon payment of £15 at the door, if space permits.
