Four girls and two boys have been appointed as the Lieutenant Governor's Cadets for the coming year.
The six young people were each presented with a medal and a badge to mark their appointment during the week.
Together they will support His Excellency, Lieutenant General Richard Cripwell as he carries out his duties over the next 12 months.
It is recognised as a role of high responsibility and the appointment of a Cadet is seen as a privilege and a reflection of their individual characters.
This year's Cadets are Carmen Walsh, Jean-Pierre (JP) Lenormand, Neave Tonks, Lillie-May Hawkins, Matilda Shell, and Reuben Montgomery.

Each was proposed for their new role by either their school, a youth organisation or other community group.
Their role commences immediately with each presented with a medal engraved with their name, struck locally by Bruce Russell & Son. It features a green ribbon and silver clasp. They've also been presented with a certificate and a woven badge, which they are entitled to wear when on duty.
Their duties will include supporting His Excellency at civic and community functions.
The last cohort of Cadets had the responsibility of taking part in events to commemorate the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the proclamation and Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.
Cadets take on active roles during any Royal visits to the Bailiwick or the visit of any other VIPs.
They will also work alongside the Youth Commission for Guernsey and Alderney's Youth Forum, to represent the views of peers on issues important to young people across the Bailiwick.
