An island-wide art trail is going live this week, with 52 specially-decorated goats bringing colour and family fun to Guernsey.
The Golden Guernsey Goat Trail has been organised by Autism Guernsey and supported by the Guernsey Adult Literacy Project. Local artists, clubs and schools have all contributed towards the project, which was delayed last year by the covid lockdown.
Its iconic status paved the way for the Golden Guernsey Goat to be the inspiration for the quirky fundraiser.

Lady Corder is the Patron of both Autism Guernsey and GALP and was joined by the organisers and artists at a launch event at Government House.
“It was a lovely opportunity to thank the sponsors and the artists for all their hard work,” said Mandy Rowlinson, Fundraising Manager of Autism Guernsey.
“The painted goats look amazing and have been a real community project. Many schools have participated with students of all ages painting a bit of their goat."

The trail is opening until the end of August, after which the goats will all be auctioned off to raise money for the charities. You can find out more about the auction HERE.
If you’re adventurous enough to visit all 52 goats, there’s an app you can download to record your visits. If you take a selfie with every single one, you can enter a raffle draw for a number of prizes, including; afternoon tea at La Barbarie and vouchers for Christies.
Just search Golden Guernsey Goat Trail wherever you get your apps from Saturday 15 May.
