Tomorrow's Remembrance events will be attended by two visiting German soldiers who will lay wreaths at Guernsey's main war memorial alongside local dignitaries and veterans.
The visiting delegation will include fellow German army officers and some of their family members.
It's not known if any of the visitors have links with the Channel Islands through the Occupying Forces of the Second World War.
While here they will pay tribute to their predecessors as well as military officials from other countries. This will include a laying of wreaths at the British and German memorials at Fort George this morning, before the laying of a wreath at the St Peter Port War Memorial tomorrow morning.
Colonel Michael von Block-Schlesier will lay the wreaths at the British and German memorials at Fort George today at 11:00, as well as the wreath tomorrow morning.
He will be assisted by wreath bearer Captain Jens Boenck.

Both Officers are currently serving in the Headquarters of the NATO Rapid Reaction in Innsworth, Gloucestershire.
Colonel von Block-Schlesier is visiting Guernsey with his wife Anette, while Captain Boenck is joined by wife Elfie and their young son Willem.
They will be joined by Colonel Joern Schaslik, currently based at the NATO Headquarters in Brunssum, Holland, who will also lay wreaths at Fort George on Saturday morning.
He will be accompanied by Major Karsten Adrian, a Supply Company Commander in eastern Germany, and Captain Mathias Kowalski. Major Adrian will be accompanied by his wife Captain Laura Fincke, who is also serving in the Bundeswehr.
The delegation will include German Army Photographer Corporal Lisa Engeler.

The visiting German Officers were with the Lieutenant-Governor and local veterans yesterday evening.
They attended the annual Combined Services Charity dinner, which took place this year at the Masonic Temple in St Martin.
The event was raising money for the Royal Air Forces Association.
