Four people have been hospitalised after a road traffic collision in St Andrews.

The incident happened on 28 December and involved two cars at the Bailiff's Cross Road.

St John Ambulance has released the following statement:

"An ambulance incident officer and a total of three double crewed ambulances attended the scene. Guernsey police and the fire service were also in attendance and all emergency services worked well together.

"A total of six people were assessed by the ambulance crews. Following initial triage and treatment, four were later conveyed to the Emergency Department at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital, two people were discharged at the scene.

"This was one of 24 cases for St John Ambulance & Rescue Service yesterday. Around the time of the RTC the ambulance service also responded to four other 999 calls, with senior officers deployed to operational duties to help provide resilience for the island."
