Live arrival and departure information for local flights can now be viewed online as normal again after a technical problem temporarily stopped the updates.
Guernsey Ports advised that its flight information system, which shows on physical boards inside the terminal and on airport.gg, had failed in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Engineers worked to fix the problem, but it couldn’t be resolved until the morning of 2 January.
The issue came on a busy travel day and weeks after airport authorities began advising the public to check real-time progress of flights to avoid long queues forming outside the terminal drop-off and pick-up area.
For a time, the status of all departing flights showed as “Final Call” while arrivals had no information.
Passengers had been advised to consult their airline or customer services to get information, and for those who had checked in online to attend the desk before going to departures.
Guernsey Airport apologised for the inconvenience caused.
