A few simple changes could make you a Fairtrade workplace

Monday 04 January 2021

Guernsey is celebrating its 15th year as a 'Fairtrade Island' and to keep strengthening our status, businesses are being asked to make themselves a Fairtrade workplace.

Fairtrade Guernsey is dedicated to preserving our accredited 'Fairtrade Island' status and has asked more businesses to get on board.

The Fairtrade mark symbolises a commitment to buying products grown and manufactured in a way that meets environmental and social standards.

Most offices supply hot drinks and Fairtrade Guernsey Secretary Hannah Davis said that simply switching to such products is an easy way of becoming a Fairtrade workplace.

“Your workplace could make a difference to people’s lives and the environment,” she said.

You can find out how to easily swap out your suppliers online, and then register to become a Fairtrade supporter.
