Father Christmas is due back in Guernsey this afternoon, where he's been invited to the Bridge to switch on the 'northern lights'.
Funded by the Bridge traders, the festive lights will be switched on later on this afternoon.
Santa Claus is asked to turn them on every year and he always obliges, but as he is so busy so close to Christmas he brings some friends with him to help greet all of the children who gather to see him.
They'll be there from around 16:00 before the lights are turned on at 16:30.
Father Christmas will be arriving on board a fire engine this year, accompanied by his elves.
They will be collecting letters from the boys and girls gathered to see him, as well as giving out treats.
All of the shops on the Bridge will be open, including the new ones which have opened this year such as Cycle World which relocated to the Vale side of the Bridge a few months ago, and the new Retro shop which has opened at No. 9, The Bridge.
The Bridge itself will have limited parking, but there is plenty of space on Northside, outside the old Quayside Shop.
There will also be a number of market stalls on the Bridge between 15:30 and 20:00.
