Delivery service means avid readers can pick up where they left off

Bookworms in Guernsey will be able to get their fix after the Guille-Alles library announced the return of its home delivery service.

In Stage 1 of our exit from lockdown, staff from the library will be delivering books, DVDs and jigsaws.

“As lockdown came in so suddenly this time, we know many people have found themselves without a supply of books and other entertainment," said Chief Librarian, Laura Milligan.

“It’s a difficult time for everyone. Supporting mental health and wellbeing in our community has always been one of the library’s key goals, and we hope this service will provide a boost for people.”

The service is available to anyone with a library membership and is completely free. Priority is being given to people over 70 and an online form is now available.

Alternatively, you can call the library on 720392 and leave a message for your delivery. The library remains closed but eBooks and digital magazines are still available online.
