A cyclist is being treated at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital after suffering leg injuries in an accident on the Weighbridge roundabout.

The accident last night involved a car as well as the cyclist who was seen lying on the road at around 20:45 as the emergency services rushed to the scene.

The cyclist was assessed at the scene and was treated by St John Emergency Ambulance Service staff before being given pain relief so he could be moved by stretcher to the ambulance and taken to the Emergency Department.

Guernsey Police want to hear from any witnesses who saw the accident, which involved a Black Ford Fiesta and the man's grey Trek bicycle.
