Guernsey Police are trying to track down the driver of a white lorry which hit a cyclist on the back of his head earlier in the week.
The cyclist said he was walking his bike along the pavement on Les Gravees; when he was hit on the back of his head by the passing lorry's wing mirror.
It happened between 08:30 and 09:00 on Monday 9 July.
The cyclist said he was wearing a bike helmet at the time of the incident which protected him from further injury, but he was left suffering "considerable pain, blurred vision and minor confusion for some time."
Guernsey Police are hoping passers-by may have seen what happened, as the cyclist walked his bike along the road. It was then that he said he was "struck on the back of the head by a passing vehicle. The vehicle is thought to be a medium size white lorry. The contact with the rear of the cyclist's head is thought to have been made with the large sticking out nearside (left) mirror."
Officers said the cyclist was fortunate to have been still wearing his helmet but still suffered some minor injuries which left him leaning against a wall trying to recover for about 10 minutes.
If you saw the incident or the cyclist leaning against the wall, contact Guernsey Police on 725111 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
