Crash on the Grange

Monday 29 October 2018

Traffic built up around Town following a crash at the junction between Doyle Road, Vauvert and the Grange yesterday.

A car and a truck were involved in the collision, and while only the Police and Fire Service initially attended, St John Emergency Ambulance Service also sent a crew to the scene later to look at the car's driver.

The truck was travelling down the Grange and clipped the car as it was coming around the corner of Doyle Road, damaging the front end of it. A notice about the crash was first given at 12:15, and then the whole scene was cleared by 12:51.

The car was pulled over on the corner of Doyle Road following there incident partially blocking traffic flow, so the Fire Crew directed vehicles through the lights so everything could be dealt with.

The driver of the car was checked over by the St John crew when they arrived on the scene, but no one was taken to the Emergency Department and neither suffered serious injury.
