People who need a negative PCR covid test before travelling can now book one online.
A new form is being offered by the States of Guernsey for people who are flying to destinations that require a negative covid test before crossing the border.
These tests cost £83 per person and are carried out at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital. CEO of the States, Paul Whitfield, explained why they cost more than the arrival tests in the latest Civil Contingencies Authority briefing.
“If someone is leaving the Bailiwick and their point of destination requires a negative result, they will need a properly certficaited copy of a full PCR test.
“The cost of these is slightly higher,” he said, referring to the £25 'contribution' required towards border tests from 14 May.

This new online service bolsters the current Primary Care service available at practices and means testing can be undertaken seven days a week.
You should fill in the form at least 48 hours before the test is needed and the results can take one to two days to be emailed out.
We’re being reminded that the time of test prior to travel is determined by the destination, and we should stay informed of the rules and regulations in the countries we are heading to.
The form for these new tests can be found online.
