A dispute between a deputy and the landlord of his coffee shop was heard in the Royal Court yesterday.
The plaintiff, McAuley (Market Buildings) Ltd, allege that Deputy Andrew Taylor failed to comply with the rental terms for his Market Street café, and failed to comply with an eviction notice served in November 2022.
The issues relate to repairs and renovations of the building including the roof, guttering, pointing, and internal decoration.
Deputy Taylor - representing himself - rejects he breached the terms of the lease.
Ferbrache & Farrell LLP represented the plaintiff.
A date has not been set for the continuation of proceedings, but the Deputy Bailiff asked all parties to find availability over the next four weeks.
