Public Heath authorities are 'source testing' six venues and events in Alderney, and an appeal has been made for people to come forward for testing if the attended those places at given times in the last week.
In chronological order, the six places are:
The Blonde Hedgehog on Friday 9 July between 08:00 - 16:00
Concert at St Anne’s Church on Saturday 10 July starting at 19:00
The Seafarers Service on Sunday 11 July starting at 10:30
Cantina No 6 on Sunday 11 July between 16:00 - 20:00
The Divers Pub on Sunday 11 July from 20:00 onwards (they were showing the Euros 2020 Final)
Alderney Sailing Club on Thursday 15 July from 18:30 onwards
Anyone who attended these locations at the relevant times is asked to contact the Alderney Welcome Centre duty phone on 01481 520266 between 8:00 and 17:30, 7 days a week, so that a test can be booked.
Anyone currently in Guernsey who was at one of these places should contact the clinical helpline on 01481 756938 or 01481 756969.
All visits to the Mignot Memorial Hospital and Alderney care homes have also ceased with immediate effect, with end of life visits only considered on a "case-by-case" basis.
Dr Nicola Brink, Director of Public Health, said: "We carried out significant surge testing among different groups in Alderney yesterday but having reviewed information coming from our contact tracing processes, there are instances where we know people attended these locations between these times identified, but we’ve been unable to confirm their identity.
"So we are now embarking on additional testing in the form of source testing. As such it’s really important for people to get in touch for testing if they were at any of these establishments during the times outlined."
