A rescue mission is underway at Jerbourg, after a car with one man inside went over the edge of the cliff earlier this morning.
A spokesperson for Bailiwick Law Enforcement told Express that the man is still alive.
The first calls for help were made just after 09:30. Police, fire, and ambulance personnel all remain on the scene at 11:30 with a specially trained rescue team working on the cliff face to reach the man in the vehicle.
Spokespersons for Guernsey Police and Guernsey Ambulance and Rescue Service gave brief statements to the media earlier.
Both men confirmed that their crews will be on the scene at Jerboug for some time, with no one yet able to say how long the rescue operation will take.
Civil protection volunteers are also involved with crew blocking the roads towards Jerbourg. Residents, hotel guests, and essential workers are the only people allowed past the corden at Manor Stores, with a further corden in place at the Doyle momument.
