Charity grant applications open

Monday 01 April 2024

Small grants of up to £25,000 are set to be awarded to local charities and not-for-profits from the public/private Social Investment Fund.

Applying organisations will be awarded cash if it can demonstrate a benefit to the community such as improving lives of vulnerable people, boosting education, protecting the environment, and developing health and wellbeing initiatives.

The cash can be used to cover projects, capital spending or operating costs for a year.

Last year 29 charities received over £320,513 from the Fund, adding to a total of £839,000 since the scheme was launched in 2021.

Money was used to upgrade IT systems, fix roofs at sport clubs, provide free school lunches and support creative and artistic endeavors.

Sadie Siviter de Paucar, Lead Officer of the Social Investment Fund, said: “This is our first round of small grants funding in 2024 and we encourage charities of any shape or size across the Bailiwick to apply for support.

“Small grants play an important role in helping charities with running or project costs that they might find difficult to fundraise for.”

Applications must be sent in before 12:00 on 3 April HERE.
