A reward is being offered to anyone who might be able to provide information about a man who smashed the front window of Christies Bar and Bistro.
Early in the morning on 15 June a young man has been caught on CCTV kicking the front window of Christies. Prior to lashing out he is seen trying to kiss a young woman, before throwing a punch and then kicking the window.
The incident was caught on Christies CCTV and the Managing Director of the Christies Group, Christophe Gaultier shared the footage in the hopes of bringing the young man to justice.
That footage was originally published on Facebook but has since been taken down.
“What needs to happen now is we need to secure the front of the building, because it's not just the window... the whole bay window is cracked. The builders need to come and remove the whole double windows to be able to change that broken window.”
He said it’s incredibly disappointing as it happened on Saturday morning before the start of what is usually a busy day for Christies.
“We already have a scaffolding from our neighbors and now [this]. The front of the restaurant is not very welcoming for tourists. It's just heartbreaking, but there's nothing we can do.”
Mr Gaultier says it’ll be about two weeks before the damage can be fixed.
He said he is offering a £300 reward voucher to be used in any of The Christies Group establishments for “information or help to catch that very young, angry man”.

Mr Gaultier said the police were contacted at 05:00 on Saturday [15 June].
“They turned up at 08:00 and we are still waiting to hear from them to see what's happening or what is not happening.
“I tried to send emails and calls but they're not coming back to me as of yet.”
Express reached out to Guernsey Police who said that enquiries are ongoing.
