Guernsey's volunteer cliff rescue team have been called to help with an incident on the Torteval coastline.
The emergency services were alerted to an incident this morning, shortly before 10:00.
The incident is said to have occurred south of the Chateau Des Tielles Nursing Home.
The public are asked to avoid the area until further notice with motorists and pedestrians both urged to stay away to enable the easy movement of the emergency resources and rescue crews.
It's understood that staff and volunteers from Guernsey Police, Guernsey Fire & Rescue Service, St John Ambulance and Rescue, Guernsey Coastguard, Cliff Rescue, and the Civil Protection team are all involved.
