Work to re-surface the children’s playground at Beau Sejour has been scheduled to begin on Monday 25 July.
The works, which will ensure all areas are maintained to a safe standard, are due to complete on Friday 5 August, with all playgrounds to re-open to the public on Saturday 6 August.
A new coloured flex will be added to the new wetpour surface to be more visually appealing for young children.
Head of Recreation Services, Sam Herridge, recognised “it isn’t an ideal time to undertake work during the school summer holidays".

“The opportunity is being taken to combine there works with repairs to surfacing at Vauvert School, which will ensure the two projects can be completed with considerable savings in travel and other related costs,” she said.
Access to the skatepark will remain whilst the scheduled re-surfacing work is completed.
