Alderney's General Services Committee (GSC), wants members of the community and representatives of island organisations, to serve on a new Nature and Agriculture Stakeholder Group.
Members will oversee the development and implementation of GSC’s Nature and Agriculture Strategy, which aims to meet the objectives laid out in the Island Plan, focusing on the island's natural environment.
The group, which should consist of 10 members and will be formed early in 2025, will report directly to the GSC, and they’re seeking a diverse bunch. In a statement announcing the need for new members, the States say they’re seeking everyone from horticulturalists to fishermen, schools and nurseries to fitness instructors.
Those interested in joining the stakeholder group can register their interest by emailing consultation.Alderney@gov.gg with the subject title "Nature and Agriculture Stakeholder Group" and including relevant information about themselves or their organisation.
