There's further political upheaval in Alderney with the alleged sacking of the island's Chief Executive and the resignation of the States Press Officer.
Theo Leisjer has been employed as Chief Executive for less than a year, but Express understands that he has left the position this week.
Mr Leijser is the fifth Chief Executive Alderney has employed in the past five years.
The decision that he was to leave the post is understood to have been made on Monday, at a meeting of the Policy and Finance Committee. This alleged decision was just a day after it was confirmed that the Chair of P&F, Nigel Vooght had resigned from the States.
Express has asked the States of Alderney to confirm the position around Mr Leisjer's employment.
Separately, Express has been informed that the Press Officer for the States of Alderney has tendered his resignation.
Communications professional, Alistair Forrest has worked for the States since 2019.
