Flight passengers are being advised to leave extra time to get through security this morning, while Guernsey Airport deals with a technical issue.
Both the main x-ray machine and the backup are currently down for unknown reasons.
"We ask that people be patient," said a spokesperson for the airport. "It is taking a little longer for bags to be processed because they have to be manually searched."
Staff have tried to revive the machines and are waiting for advice from technicians in the UK.
Although the malfunction has not caused any delays yet, passengers due to travel today are encouraged to leave plenty of time to have their bags checked.
