A temporary food and drink outlet has been set up at the airport while the two cafés are closed for refurbishment.
Passengers and terminal users will notice the changes coming into effect in the coming days.
Work is started yesterday, developing the two cafes, and from today, Tuesday 18 June, "the landside upstairs café will be closed as contractors for Caterleisure (Guernsey) Limited will start work," said a spokesman for States Trading Assets.
"The landside temporary food and drink outlet will be open from Wednesday 19 June. The unit will have cold drinks, coffee and tea, cold snacks, sandwiches, crisps, and grab-and-go confectionary items for sale.
"During this time, arrangements for the airside café in departures will remain the same and will remain open for passengers, airport staff, and business partners."
Alcoholic drinks will not be available at the landside facility until the new café opens due to local licensing restrictions but the airside café will still have range of drinks for sale.
The upgrades are due to be completed by the end of July. Guernsey Airport apologises for any inconvenience the work may cause in the meantime.
