The new L’Aumone Medical Centre has officially opened, with the Chairman of IslandHealth hoping that it’ll become a hub for the community in the L’Aumone area.
Work began on the site in May 2021 and the finished building includes 12 new medical consultation rooms, as well as a pharmacy.
The new practice has been developed and will be run by IslandHealth, which also has surgeries at La Plaiderie in St Peter Port and at the St Sampson’s Medical Centre on Grandes Maisons Road.
It was designed by CDD Architects and was built by RG Falla Construction.
“We are absolutely delighted to be moving into our new Medical Centre at L’Aumone,” said Dr Mike Long, Chairman of IslandHealth.
“We have expanded a lot over the last few years and this new site gives us the room we desperately requireto continue to provide high quality primary care.
“It will also allow us to continue to develop new services for the benefit of our patients and the whole of Guernsey. We hope that this new centre becomes a real community hub for the L’Aumone area.”
