A draft development framework is proposing that 25-30 properties could be built on formerly agricultural land in Route Militaire.
The Le Four Banal site covers an area of approximately 0.95 hectares (5.79 vergees).
It is anticipated that this site would be able to accommodate 25 to 35 dwellings, although this is subject to public feedback.

"The design response should consist of sustainable architectural design of a scale appropriate to the landscape character and characteristics of the site and surrounding area, provision of appropriate amenity space proportionate to the type of housing proposed, and should consider the impact on the amenities of neighbouring residents and the relationship with the adjoining Key Industrial Area," the framework states.
"However, in order to ensure land is used efficiently it is anticipated the site would be able to accommodate a density range of 25 to 35 dwellings per hectare, which is approximately 25 to 35 dwellings on this site.
"The site is large enough to accommodate a number of dwellings, and as such the mix and type provided should be reflective of the demographic profile of households requiring housing based on the most up to date evidence available."
The site in question is opposite to existing residential development.
The Development & Planning Authority is now inviting comments on the Draft Development Framework documents by e-mail at planning@gov.gg or in writing to the Authority over the next four weeks until the 21 August.
