The Waitrose branches in Jersey scooped two awards at the Normans Customer Service Awards this weekend.

The Waitrose branches in Jersey scooped two awards at the Normans Customer Service Awards this weekend.

The awards presented to Waitrose were Customer Service Strategy and Employee of a Large Business, awarded to Emma Le Seelleur who works at the Red Houses branch. Miss Le Seelleur, a customer services assistant, was recognised for her individual commitment to delivering excellent customer service as voted by the general public.

Miss Le Seelleur said: “I’m really happy that so many of my customers voted for me. I still can’t believe it, it’s a really big achievement for me that I will never forget.”

Each year the awards recognise businesses in Jersey which deliver outstanding customer service. This year the presentations were made at Liberty Wharf on Friday (4 October) and were attended by a range of Jersey based businesses.

Waitrose is committed to providing the highest levels of customer service to its shoppers, and gives its Partners (as all employees are known) the opportunity to further their personal development and the service they provide through a range of training programmes and courses. In addition, the co-owned structure of the business produces high levels of customer service and Partners have a vested interest in ensuring shoppers have the best possible experience in branch - because they will take a share of the profits that would normally go to shareholders.

Duncan Langston, branch manager at Waitrose St Saviour, said: “We are absolutely delighted with the award wins which are testament to the hard work of the Partners across all of our branches in Jersey.”
