Jersey Post has launched a new service that will give customers even greater flexibility when using services or buying products. The online ‘shop’ allows customers to register for Jersey Post products and services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The move is a response to feedback from customers who said they wanted to be able to deal with their postal needs at any time of the day, and without having to physically go to a post office. Jersey Post is committed to making its service as modern, relevant and convenient as possible for its customers and has invested in the online facility to deliver greater flexibility for Islanders. 

There are currently two live self-service options available on the online portal, which include: 

1. Redelivery 

Customers now have the option to request a redelivery online. The online process allows any customer who has received a ‘Sorry, we missed you’ card to schedule an alternative, more convenient date for the item to be delivered. This new capability has also allowed Jersey Post to offer redeliveries on a Saturday. 

2. Parcel Delivery Plus 

By signing up to this service, customers can collect their items at any time of the day or night from a safe and secure 24/7 locker. This service offers a flexible and convenient location for the customer when receiving parcels, rather than having to travel down to postal headquarters at Rue des Pres with a ‘Sorry, we missed you’ note to collect undelivered items. 

Head of Product Development and Marketing, Nick Perchard-Rees commented: “We are constantly striving to meet the needs of our customers and continue to explore ways in 

which our customers have access to our products. The online portal provides another channel for our customers and gives them the choice to register for our products and services in a more flexible and convenient way.” 

Over the next couple of months, Jersey Post will be adding more online self-service features with the aim of making the process of registering for products and services quick and easy for the customer.
