The ongoing impact of Brexit on Jersey is to be discussed by finance chiefs at an industry event in February.
Zena Couppey, SANNE’S Managing Director of Client Services, will be joining the round table discussion that will assess the state of Jersey’s financial industry and key issues facing it, such as taxation and transparency policies, at Jersey Finance’s office in St Helier on Friday 3rd February.
The event also features the organisations’ chief executive Geoff Cook as well as John Harris, who is director general of the Jersey Financial Services Commission. Leading industry figures attending include Jane Pearce, Vistra’s Jersey managing director, Jonathan Giles, managing director of Rathbone Investment Management International, and Jersey Bankers’ Association president Tom Hill.
‘As a global leader in financial services, SANNE is well placed to manage the impact of Brexit and other major issues facing the industry. We are delighted to be involved in industry events like this as given our global experience it is a fantastic opportunity for us to share our knowledge and insights with peers. With the UK government expected to trigger the formal process to leave the European Union soon, now is an ideal time for leaders of Jersey’s financial services industry to come together to discuss Brexit and other important topics,’ said Zena.
The round table discussion will also feature in a prestigious publication being launched in London in March. The Jersey – First for Finance 2017 publication features articles on the island’s finance industry and its leading figures, and is being launched at the Jersey Finance Annual Funds Conference in London.
The event in Jersey comes as SANNE, a leading global provider of outsourced alternative asset and corporate administration, reporting services, has led a series of speaking events and technical industry seminars across Europe to share knowledge and expertise with peers across the industry.
