Last week, the Red Carnation Hotel Collection was named Small Hotel Group of the Year at the prestigious AA Hospitality Awards in a glittering ceremony at London’s Hilton Park Lane Hotel. The awards have long been considered the gold standard within the hospitality industry, and this year’s event was attended by hotel and industry leaders from across the country.

Assessed by an esteemed panel of judges, the AA Hospitality Award for Small Hotel Group of the Year recognises ‘the consistent dedication and development of a small hotel group in terms of improvement to service and operational standards’.

Jonathan Raggett, Managing Director of Red Carnation Hotels says:

“We are delighted and very proud to have been recognised by the AA Hospitality Awards, which is a fantastic benchmark for our industry. To be assessed by a team of experts who know our business inside out and to win in a highly competitive market place is a great achievement, and one which I am honoured to share with our entire, brilliant team.  Our commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences is at the heart of everything we do – it’s what keeps our guests coming back time and time again and I believe what has led to our receiving this wonderful accolade.”

Red Carnation Hotels is a privately-owned, family-run business of five and four-star properties spearheaded by President and Founder Mrs Beatrice Tollman, who was awarded Hotelier of the Year at the European Hospitality Awards 2013. The collection began in 1984 with the purchase of the Chesterfield Mayfair in 1984, and today stands at 16 properties following the acquisition earlier this year of the prestigious Ashford Castle in County Mayo, Ireland.

The collection is consistently recognised for its levels of personal service and attention to detail; five of the collection’s London properties have held the Top 5 places on TripAdvisor for the past three months, an achievement unequalled by any other hotel company. Also, earlier this year Red Carnation was listed as number 26 in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work for 2013, jumping an impressive 47 places from the previous year’s ranking.
