Jersey’s summer of festivals is set to continue with the launch of aMaizin! Adventure Park’s Family Festival, this weekend.
Opening on Friday 5th August and running for three days, the Family Festival will focus on providing a huge range of activities that families can enjoy together, offering a break from the usual festival fare of loud music and booths.
“Jersey’s burgeoning festival scene is fantastic but does revolve around music festivals which aren’t always appropriate for families,” said Kristina Le Feuvre, Director of aMaizin! Adventure Park.
“We want to fill the gap for families by creating a festival that offers an enormous range of family activities, from ‘face paint a parent’ to breakdancing and capoeira workshops. We also have bunting, drumming, mindfulness and street dance workshops, giving all members of the family, from the age of two upwards, a chance to enjoy new activities or to take part in a family experience they may not have previously considered.”
There’s no need to buy tickets in advance, and more information about the festival, along with a full list of activities can be found at www.jerseyleisure.com/events or on the aMaizin! Adventure Park’s Facebook page.
Entry to the festival is included in the regular entry fee, and is free for aMaizin! Adventure Park members.
Carlton Le Feuvre, Director of aMaizin! Adventure Park, said: “Our guests can visit any of the activities, without charge, during their visit. Our customers tell us that the “one price for everything” policy is brilliant for families budgeting a day out, and we have included the festival within the entry fee to ensure even better value!”
