Love Wine expands their wine knowledge with new appointment

Mathieu Dubourg has joined Love Wine as a Shop Sales Assistant.

Mathieu (34) brings his knowledge of diners wine tastes to the team at Love Wine. Mathieu was Head Waiter and then Restaurant Manager at Radisson Blu in 2015. He then moved to France and was Head Waiter in three restaurants where he honed his customer service and management skills. He then moved back to Jersey and was promoted to Restaurant Manager at Jersey Pottery.

From 2005-2007 Mathieu became a Chef de Rang at the five-star luxury hotel, Longueville Manor. Then he moved to France once more and worked as an apprentice at Les Sources de Caudalie Hotel, a five-star hotel near Bordeaux situated in the heart of the Smith Haut Lafitte Vineyard, where he developed his keen interest in all aspects of wine and wine production. 

Mathieu enjoys working with customers during Love Wine’s popular tasting sessions. He helps them chose new wines, beers or spirits to test. He also looks forward to completing his WSET: Level Three Award Certification in wines to expand his technical knowledge.

Mathieu said: “Love Wine have given me the opportunity to learn even more about wine, a subject that I am very passionate about. I am able to apply my customer service skills and knowledge of pairing wines with food to help people find the right wine for them.”
