Jersey Gas is moving its retail showroom to Grand Marché St Helier, to give customers the opportunity to view and purchase gas appliances during their weekly shop in a dedicated appliances area.

Jersey Gas hopes the move, as part of a redevelopment by The Channel Islands Co-operative Society, will provide customers with an exciting opportunity to view new products and understand the extensive benefits of gas.

‘Grand Marché St Helier has a very large footfall, so this will significantly increase exposure of gas products to customers. People will now be able to buy and get advice on gas products in their normal shopping environment that will potentially become a ‘destination’ one stop shop for them,’ said David Badrock, Head of Sales at International Energy Group.

‘This will also be coupled with the facility for Jersey Gas customers to make bill payments through the Post Office counter in-store at Grand Marché, as well as through all 20 of the other Post Office counters on the island.’

Kenny McDonald, head of operations at The Channel Islands Co-operative Society, added: ‘We are delighted to have Jersey Gas products as part of our new offer at Grand Marché St Helier. The new location is extremely convenient and we believe our members will benefit from the ease of shopping for gas appliances, alongside the other homeware ranges we provide, and paying their gas bills whilst they do their grocery shopping. It is a good fit for the Society and its members.’

The Jersey Gas showroom premises at Gas Place will remain open Monday to Friday to cater for customer sales queries until it relocates to La Collette, but from 10 April all retail appliances will be sold through the store at Grand Marché St Helier.
