Table tennis in Jersey has received a boost from a new three year sponsorship deal agreed with Investec Private Banking, which will enable the Jersey Table Tennis Association to build on a successful strategy to raise awareness of the sport to a broad range of players.

The agreement covers the next three seasons which feature a busy schedule of competitions and league matches planned. As well as the four divisions that make up the league, the Jersey Closed Championships are held in April and Inter Insular competitions take place from November 2016 through to May 2017. The JTTA also holds an annual Open Day for adults, juniors and families as part of its drive to open the sport up to as many people as possible.

Audrey Tupper of the Jersey Table Tennis Association said, “We are thrilled to have received the endorsement from an institution of the calibre of Investec Private Banking. The bank already has an excellent reputation on the Island for supporting sport and this sponsorship will raise our profile on the local sporting scene as well as keeping our membership and competition entry fees at an affordable level, particularly now that our participation numbers are on the rise again at all levels.”

Kevin Allen of Investec Private Banking in Jersey commented, “We are very pleased to announce this partnership with the Jersey Table Tennis Association, which has an established history of encouraging people of all ages and abilities to take up and enjoy the sport, in addition to developing top class players who have enjoyed considerable success in domestic, national and international competitions. We look forward to working with them over the coming season.”
