Fifteen Ogier lawyers are featured in the prestigious Citywealth Leaders List for 2016 recognising the top professionals in the private wealth and trust sector.

The list – which is compiled by nominations from peers, and which is subject to independent verification – sees 15 lawyers from Ogier's Cayman, Guernsey, Hong Kong and Jersey offices named.

Two of the 15 have also been named in Citywealth's Powerwoman list, while four are also included in the elite Honours List.

Steve Meiklejohn, Ogier's Global Senior Partner who was included in the list, said that the high number of practitioners recognised at the firm demonstrated the strength and depth of the private wealth and trusts team.

He said: "Having been a part of the Private Wealth and Trusts team for many years, it is particularly pleasing to see this recognition for so many of our people.

"I'm also delighted that Sally Edwards, who heads the team, has also been recognised in the Honours List and the Powerwoman list, and that the client testimonial names her as 'the guru of the Jersey trust world'."

The lawyers listed were:

Cayman: David Cooney, Giorgio Subiotto and Fraser Allister.

Guernsey: Marcus Leese and Simon Davies.

Hong Kong: Lara Mardell.

Jersey: Sally Edwards, Ed Mackereth, Steve Meiklejohn, Jonathan White, Nigel Sanders, Jonathan Hughes, Katherine Neal, Josephine Howe and Sevyn Kalsi.

The Honours List included Sally Edwards, Steve Meiklejohn, Jonathan White and Marcus Leese, while the Powerwoman list included Sally and Katherine Neal.
